"MOTHER!"

That's what I screamed in the lunch room when my back spasm-ed like it was totally normal. This is probably the worst pain I've ever experienced. Random spasms at that bottom of your spine and you had no idea where it came from.

The first real one was when I bent over in the fridge to get milk for my cereal. Yau-zaas! So my day yesterday was spent TRYING to relax my muscles, but instinct tells you if you brace yourself for the pain you're more prepared for it. (Secret: you're not)

Last night my prince made me a panini on our new panini press (shower gift!) and brought it to me whilst I was heating and icing my back.

This morning I'm still experiencing some light spasms. But the real pain is when I spent $55 on a race for Jan 14th. SOB! So I'm patiently waiting for all of this to go away so I can attempt a 10K this weekend. I paid for this! I have to do it. But I also have a wedding to think about as I don't want a spasm face in my wedding pictures.

  1. Just remember that one of your goals has been to listen to your body.

  2. so if I was hearing that a friend got injured I'd be like, listen, friend, don't run that race! However, do I ever follow my own advice? No...of course I'd run the race LOL
