Yeah, I'm Alive

Guess who get's to shut their brain off in 27 hours?

THIS LADY! Isn't she pretty? Look how happy she is and how lively she looks.

Now, look at this lady...
Hmm...she looks tired...and a little undead. Do you know what happened to this girl? She got real tired because her brain was working WAY to hard.

I would like to go back to being this girl...
Kissing chocolate covered strawberries and being happy.

My brain has been on overdrive since we hit the 3-month mark of "This is the wedding date." Wedding bands, putting music together, shower invitations being sent out. On TOP of this I've got about 10 mouths asking ME a bazillion questions that I have either A) Already answered, B)Don't know the answer to, or C) I answered it but I don't remember the answer so fuck it.

On top of that I spent 4 (count them, FOUR) hours trying to figure out how a marriage license application/certificate works. I asked three people (one whom just recently got married), 1 county clerk office and 1 notary and we finally figured it out. But God Bless, this much paperwork just to attach myself to one human being (whom I love with all my heart)?

For the first time in my life, I could cry with happiness that I get to get on an Amtrak train at 3:25 tomorrow and head home. Do you know why? Is it the warm kisses and hugs I get from my family and friends? Is it all the well cooked food I get to eat? The presents? No.

I get to shut my brain off....

I'm not answering any questions, I'm not working on the wedding. I specifically packed my bags with comfortable clothes because I plan to sit in front of the TV (like the average American) and zone out. I'm going to watch TBS and "It's A Wonderful Life" and The Price is Right and not think.

Because I deserve it. I'm tired. Not only that, but once the holidays are over, we are into OVERDRIVE for the wedding. AFTER Christmas, I will work my ass off for this wedding. Fun times, right?

I am looking forward to good eats, lots of fun and laughter and spending Christmas with the Parise's one last time before my future-husband whisks me away and we start our own family traditions.

So if you run into this girl...
Remind her that all is well. Jesus was born this day! And that there is pumpkin pie on the counter. This information will change her to this...
LOOK HOW HAPPY! YAY!
